This Northern California seafood spot offers fresh food straight from the boat





There’s nothing quite like driving along the northern California coast when you’re craving super-fresh seafood. After all, our coast is dotted with dozens of hidden seafood shacks serving up freshly caught dishes. However, a place called Princess Seafood might be the coolest place on the NorCal coast! Featuring fish that has been caught on their very own fishing boat, the Princess, this waterside restaurant is basically as fresh as it gets. Once you’ve tasted the difference, there’s simply no going back.

Quaint restaurant located just where the Noyo River meets Noyo Bay in Fort Bragg, Princess Seafood is a hidden gem that serves up some of the freshest seafood dishes on the coast.
The Princess is a 42ft freezer trawler that regularly cruises the waters of the West Coast in search of salmon, albacore, cod and crab. The fish caught by the princess is sold at her own fish market and used to create your favorite seafood dishes at the restaurant!

Nestled just under the Noyo Bridge, the restaurant’s location couldn’t be in a more picturesque setting. The restaurant is quite small but has a nice outdoor terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view of the bay while you dine.
The menu is packed with some of the best seafood our coast has to offer, including sablefish and Dungeness crab caught by the ladies of the Princess. Enjoy it fresh, fried or on a sandwich – however you like it!
Do you like fresh oysters? Princess Seafood has a particularly fantastic plate of Humboldt Bay oysters. Served simply with reseda and lemon, you can’t go wrong with NorCal Coast oysters.
Maybe you love seafood so much you want to take some home! The Fish Market is located just down the street and has a large crate filled with locally caught delicacies like crab, bay shrimp, wild shrimp, scallops and those delicious Humboldt Bay oysters.
