Suspicions around Eric Adams’ so-called vegan diet were confirmed on Monday: the mayor eats fish. At an event to launch a plant-based food program, Adams answered questions about the integrity of his own vegan diet: “Does Eric eat fish? Is he eating a burger? Does he do that? Does he do that? Does he do that? You know, I mean, listen, here’s my message: the more plant-based meals you have, the healthier you’ll be… I’m the mayor of New York City, and I’m perfectly imperfect, and occasionally ate fish. Pointing to a vegetable stall, the perfectly flawed mayor added, “Don’t worry about what’s on Mayor Adams’ plate. Put these elements on your plate. A few hours later he said Politics via a spokesperson: “Let’s be clear: switching to a plant-based diet saved my life, and I aspire to be plant-based 100% of the time. I want to be a role model for people who follow or aspire to follow a plant-based diet, but, as I said, I’m perfectly imperfect and have occasionally eaten fish.The pressure to vouch for his daily menu follows recent reports that the allegedly vegan mayor was spotted munching on fish in the city despite his outspokenness for strictly plant-based cuisine.
