Ham, fish and the full list of produce Irish shoppers need to throw away this week from Dunnes, Lidl, SuperValu, Aldi and more


A number of items have been pulled from supermarket shelves across the country over the past week due to food safety concerns.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued multiple recalls for a specific number of lots of certain products.

Consumers were asked to check their fridges, freezers and cupboards for articles concerned and follow the advice given on what to do next.

Retailers that stock the affected products will see point-of-sale notices posted in their stores and will provide buyers with refunds for the return of the affected bundles.

A batch of Lucky Me! Instant Pancit Canton Noodles Hot Chili Flavor is being recalled due to the presence of an unauthorized pesticide, ethylene oxide. This pesticide is not authorized for use in foods sold in the EU.

Although consumption of the contaminated product does not pose an acute health risk, there may be health problems if there is continuous consumption of ethylene oxide over a long period. Therefore, exposure to this substance should be minimized.

Although consumption of the affected lots of Afroase Biteku Leaves is unlikely to pose an immediate health risk, continued consumption of chlorpyrifos-ethyl over an extended period may pose a potential health risk. Therefore, exposure to this substance should be minimized.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in stores stocked with the affected lots: 2104120146, 2107190129, 2108170055 and 2110140053; expiry date: 31/12/2024

Centra King Shrimp



The below lots of Centra King Prawns are being recalled because they were mislabeled with incorrect expiration dates.

The use-by dates shown on the labels are 07/16/2022 and 07/22/2022, however, the correct use-by dates are 06/16/2022 and 06/22/2022.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be posted at Centra stores supplied with the affected lots.

Gluten in Alpro Rice All Plant, Rocky Rice Beverage
