Looking to expand your personal library? The Tri Township Library in Troy will be holding a book sale this Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. The book sale will take place at the library at 209 South Main, Troy.

If you’re looking to reduce, the library will also be accepting book donations during the sale.

9 a.m. to noon at Our Lord Lutheran Church at 150 Wilma Drive, Maryville. This event includes dog demonstrations, a lookalike pet/owner contest, stuffed animal clinic, face painting, animal blessing booth, rescue information and door prizes. The event will take place outside, rain or shine. Free and open to the public. All pets must be kept on a leash.

chair yoga

10 a.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Certified yoga teacher Julie Hamilton will lead the class using modifications of many common yoga poses. Perfect for seniors and others with disabilities or challenges such as chronic illnesses, pain or stiffness. Yoga mats not provided, but you can bring your own for more stability.

chicken dinner

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Edwardsville Moose Lodge at 7371 Marine Road, Rt. 143. Dinners are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Knights of Columbus BBQ

3-5 p.m. at Fire Park, Route 159, Maryville. George Portz and Friends of Bluegrass will perform a free concert sponsored by Maryville Parks & Rec. A Fiddler’s Frolic with young fiddlers will play with George Portz from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Bluegrass, Cajun and country music will follow. Washington Kettle Corn will be available for refreshments. Indoor Plant Swap

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Come between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to drop off your houseplants or unused garden seeds to give them a second life. Those who drop off a plant will have priority access to the exchange between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. After 1 p.m., the exchange is open to the public. Please no outdoor plants or unidentifiable seeds.

Coloring for adults

Barking in the park dog contest
