“War is My God”, by Draugr
Rather good, I think. It makes a statement, which is a rare thing. It also employs metaphor, which shows that they’re putting a little bit of effort in—unless it’s actually about being a worshipper of the Greek god Ares, which is something I could never fault anyone for.
Hidden Hand (band name)
Very good; nicely sinister. One thing to look out for is possible confusion with any local magicians.
“Satanic Black Nubian Pharoahs”, by The Meads of Asphodel
Very evocative—though, of course, in this context ‘Black’ is somewhat tautological. And ‘Satanic’ is almost certainly historically inaccurate.
Goatholocaust (band name)
A pretty boilerplate joining of two stock metal titling elements, this one, I feel, stumbles in the execution. The specific image conjured up is of some sort of mass killing of farm animals, which if anything is probably less metal than a regular (presumably human) holocaust. A possible exception might be if the band’s music was actually farm- or animal husbandry-themed, in which case they might consider what could be a very effective tie-in with PETA.
MĂĽtiilation (band name)
Now, I’m all for a well-placed umlaut now and then, but I simply don’t see why anyone should need that many Is.
“The Dirge”, by Dark Lunacy
Dark Lunacy may now never release another dirge, even if they want to. They’ve titled themselves into a corner.

I’m curious, why did you pick these particular titles?
I love metal, but some of the lyrics are rather…silly. Just look at Cradle of Filth. I can’t understand any of the growling, but every time I look at the lyrics for one of their songs it’s always something about raping, killing, and eating virgins, not necessarily in that order.
Chosen at random. Put on party shuffle until I saw something noteworthy.
