Deep Thoughts.

You know, people always mention how The Ramones’ The Ramones is only 28 min 53 sec long, but you should really remember that Simon and Garfunkle’s Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme is itself a scant 29 min 14 sec in length. But nobody ever mentions that one. I guess that’s a crucial 21 seconds, there, at the end.

Gosh, you know what? Forget that. That is the extended version. The original LP—and correct me if I’m wrong here—clocks in at 27 minutes, 51 seconds. Really, that’s the final nail in this coffin of musical injustice.

  1. Actually, I think you have it wrong. It’s not the 21 seconds at the end that make the difference, it’s the 21 seconds at the beginning.

    Or, maybe it’s just that the Ramones suck.
